our story

It was just about three years ago in the Spring of 2021 that Cooper Trembath decided to share some images of his dad's artwork, and World of Colour Studios was born. People seemed to like what we were doing,  and requests for new paintings started to trickle in. Before too long, our Instagram followers started growing and we had our first commissioned piece - from outside the country no less.

Gord is the artist, while Cooper handles social media and community involvement. Joel looks after the photography to convert many of our paintings into prints and greeting cards, and has recently launched his own line of photo cards based on his travels throughout BC and across Canada. Our work is bright and bold, and primarily involves landscapes, although we have a few dogs and other wildlife that have made their way onto some canvases this year.

In 2021 we released a collection of BC paintings that were made available as prints and greeting cards - and since that time we've added six new collections. We've now produced over 13,000 cards and you can find them throughout Metro Vancouver at various local shops including The Postcard Place on Granville Island or Buchan's Stationery & Gifts in Kerrisdale, at The Handpicked Home in White Rock, Favourite Gifts in the Lonsdale Quay and Deep Cove Collective in North Vancouver. Some of our work is also available at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Gift Shop in Steveston, Willow + Wallflower in Port Moody, Pomme Natural Market in Port Coquitlam, Kinder Books at the New Westminster Quay, Muckabout Gift Gallery in Burnaby, and Zing Paperie & Design in West Vancouver. You can also purchase them right here through our online store.

10% of the profits from everything we sell is donated to a local charity and you can learn more about our community partners here.

For questions or comments, or if you own a shop and would like to carry our cards, please email gord@hlwestcoast.ca. In the meantime, stay safe and stay healthy.
